Humain, AMD, and Cisco Launch AI Data Center Venture in Saudi Arabia with 4.5B User Target
Saudi-based Humain has partnered with AMD and Cisco to establish a 100MW AI data center cluster, with Luma as its inaugural customer. The unnamed joint venture, backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), leverages the kingdom's low energy costs and strategic location.
The consortium plans to scale capacity to 1 gigawatt by 2030, targeting 4.5 billion users across Asia, Europe, India, and MENA. AMD's $10 billion chip supply agreement includes next-gen MI450 processors, while Cisco handles network infrastructure and sales deployment.
The initiative stems from May's U.S.-Saudi technology accords, gaining momentum during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Washington visit. "They will be the first customer of this cluster," confirmed Humain CEO Tareq Amin, noting purchase orders are already materializing for future expansion phases.
